How long does the process take?
Initially, we’ll organise a free 30-minute sample session and then, should you become a client, two 50-minute sessions per month are recommended for a minimum of 3 months. Realisations and shifts in perception can be instantaneous, but unravelling your fixed sense of identity and integration into one’s daily life takes time and space to occur. They start with a series of ‘Discovery’ sessions followed by coaching sessions. Each session ends with self-assigned homework that enables clients to stay engaged with the coaching process outside of the actual coaching hours. Personal responsibility characterises coaching – it ensures that the session is not just another conversation that gets forgotten. Instead the coach’s role is to take what emerges during the session and to hold the client responsible for integrating it into their lives.
How does Coaching by telephone work?
Listening skills remain at the heart of coaching; the telephone provides a surprisingly powerful and focused interaction where both coach and client are able to “hear” in a deep way. Telephone coaching offers a unique blend of intimacy and anonymity, which for some, can make the sharing of deeper issues more comfortable. One other benefit of telephone coaching is that by eliminating geographical restrictions, you can work with a coach that best meets your needs; not the closest coach, but the best coach. Most clients have busy schedules, and the convenience of telephone coaching can allow a greater flexibility in scheduling a session, without incurring travel time or transport costs.
